Peter Panagore spoke January 27, 2023
We were very fortunate to have two-time NDEr Rev. Peter Panagore speak to us in-person, Friday January 27, 2023.
In March of 1980, college senior Peter Panagore went ice climbing on the world-famous Lower Weeping Wall, along the Ice Fields Parkway in Alberta, Canada. His climbing partner was an experienced ice climber, but Panagore was a novice. On their descent, they became trapped on the side of the mountain. As the sun set, he was overcome by exhaustion and hypothermia. He died on the side of that mountain in 1980. In his minutes on the other side, he experienced hell, forgiveness, and unconditional love. His experience in heaven was beautiful and is also the title of his book by that name.
Panagore’s near death experience (NDE) changed his life and resulted in an intense spiritual journey that has continued for decades. It impelled him to pursue a master’s degree at Yale Divinity School focusing on systematic theology and Christian mysticism. His educational background coupled with 30 years of yogic and meditative practice and 20 years of professional work with the dying and grieving has given him unique insight, language, and perspective on heaven, God, death, life, love, beauty, and hope.
“I have told my story to audiences large and small for a decade now…. My story touches people’s hearts; every time I tell it the audience is gripped and silent…. Heaven is Beautiful is about hope. It is meant to give real hope to the dying, hope to the fearful, hope to the hopeless, hope to the grieving.”
From the words of former IANDS president, Janice Holden, “As a speaker, Peter Panagore is beyond gifted: He is inspired – by the Spirit with which he connected in his near-death experience decades ago and to which he remains connected to this day. His story is compelling not only in its details but also in its implications for every person and for humanity at large. Those who hear him speak are sure to feel touched and to come away with an abundance of food for thought and reflection.”

Jeff Fusco spoke Friday, March 24
eff Fusco, executive vice-president of healthcare at GBS Corp, had a near-death experience in the hospital while suffering from COVID and hovering near death. Jeff was wrapped in God’s arms as he decided whether to live or die. God told him that whatever he decided would be alright. Jeff chose to live. Days later, another spirit attempted to entice him not to live or speak of God, which Jeff rejected. Jeff’s recovery is a miracle as he had kidney and liver failure, likely brain damage, projected to be wheelchair bound, and lost roughly 5 gallons of blood. Here is a news link about Jeff Fusco:

Ted Whiting spoke in-person April 28, 2023
In 1981 Ted had back surgery after a motorcycle accident. The five-hour surgery had complications, during which Ted died on the operating table. The extraordinary part of Ted’s NDE is that he met his father, who had been murdered. Ted hardly knew his father, who he had only seen a few times when he was young before his father was killed. Ted was able to become close to his father during his NDE. After their reunion and discussion on the other side of the veil, Ted’s father explained that it was not Ted’s time to die and he had to go back to earth. Ted’s father gave him some insights into his future and sent him back into his body on the operating table, which involved excruciating pain.
Later, in 1989, working as a mechanic, Ted was on top of a truck fixing an air horn. He slipped and fell down to the concrete floor. Ted was knocked out. His sinuses were seriously damaged, resulting in recurring, serious sinus infections. During one bout with infections, as Ted was brought into St Mark’s Hospital on a stretcher, the pain was so severe that Ted became exhausted. With his will to live gone, he gave up fighting for his life and died. On the other side of the veil again, this time Ted saw his aunt, who told him the same thing his father had eight years before during his first NDE, that he wasn’t supposed to be there, he had to go back, it wasn’t his time yet, because he had more to do in life. Again, Ted went back and woke up in his physical body in the hospital, in pain.

Matthew Dovel Spoke May 26, 2023
Matthew Dovel was featured on ABC news 20/20 and Coast-to-Coast radio.
Matthew’s first NDE at age 12 happened when he almost drowned. He was engulfed by a white light that permeated his very soul.
Later, due to tremendous trials, Matthew tried to kill himself and went to a dark place he describes as hell, from where he was redeemed and brought back.
This is a unique story of someone who has experienced the worst place, and the best place, in the very presence of Jesus.
Matthew is an advocate of suicide prevention and a frequent speaker. He lives in Las Vegas. Nevada and will be sharing his story via Zoom on our large screen, in our Conference room.
Matthew has developed online suicide prevention programs found at supporisp.org. The program is described at nu-rekall.com
